iEPS emitters are featured on the cover of J Phys D: Appl Phys. In the corresponding article, we measured the spatial resolution of the current emitted by an electrospray array featuring 480 emitter tips. The ion beam emitted by the electrospray array is probed in the vicinity of the emitter by a probe scanning in two dimensions over the entire emitter array, allowing us to record detailed distributions of the emitted ion current, studying, for the first time, inhomogenity effects in ion emitter arrays.
