Four SPL grad students traveled to Orlando, FL this week to attend the AIAA Science and Technology (SciTech) Forum and present portions of their research. The presented research covered topics such as thrust measurement in electrospray propulsion testing, fabrication of flat-panel “pixeled” electrospray emitters, and characterization of propellant-surface collision byproducts. The individual papers can be found below:
- Direct and Indirect Thrust Measurements of Ionic-Liquid Electrospray Thrusters on a Magnetically-Levitated Testbed
- “Pixels” in Electrospray Thrusters for Ultra-Reliable Flat-Panel Electric Propulsion
- Characterization of Propellant-Surface Collision Byproducts Using MD Simulations and RGA Measurements
