PhD candidate and NSTGRO fellow Amelia (Mia) Bruno received an award from the MIT chapter of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) for outstanding mentorship in undergraduate research. The award was presented to Mia at the AIAA Student Faculty Dinner on May 2nd, 2024. Mia has mentored upwards of 10 undergraduate researchers (UROPs) over several years during her time in the SPL, including first-year undergraduates and up to graduating seniors. Contributions from UROPs are vital for the SPL, and excellent mentorship from graduate students is a necessary part of that. Congratulations to Mia for the well-deserved recognition!
